Excursion Leaders: NYC & Catskills

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2025-05-22

Position Summary & Opportunity:

EdOdyssey is seeking four (4) experienced and energetic individuals to serve as Excursion Leaders for a dynamic educational travel program designed in partnership with Northeastern University. This program is part of Northeastern’s first-year global experience initiative, which gives incoming college freshmen the opportunity to begin their college journey in New York City while building community, exploring identity, and gaining real-world perspective through immersive travel.

As an Excursion Leader, you’ll help bring this vision to life by guiding cohorts of students on 6–7 day and weekend excursions throughout the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters. Day trips will take place in New York City, while weekend excursions will head to the Catskills for deeper learning and bonding experiences. Each trip is built to spark curiosity, strengthen student relationships, and connect students to the culture, history, people, and learning outcomes of the places they explore.

All excursions occur between Friday and Sunday, and leaders will be scheduled in pairs, with trip dates divided evenly among the four hired leaders. You’ll be part of a small but impactful team helping students feel grounded, inspired, and confident as they navigate their first year of college in an unfamiliar city.

Position period is August 15, 2025 - May 1, 2026 with possibility of extending in the future.
