**Job Summary**
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark Urgent Care, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Providing exceptional patient care and service, ensuring that every patient feels valued and respected
* Managing incoming telephone calls, exercising judgment to prioritize calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel
* Greeting patients in a friendly manner, collecting insurance cards and identification, and verifying patient information
* Entering patient admitting information into our computer system and adding patients to our clinic schedule
* Receiving payment on account and performing necessary accounting duties
* Participating in department quality improvement activities, staff educational programs, and attending departmental meetings
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
* Maintains appropriate clinical/clerical standards, following policy and procedures as written in the blithequark Policy and Procedure Manual
* Follows all scripting provided for patient interactions, ensuring consistency and accuracy
* Receives incoming telephone calls, exercises judgment to prioritize calls, and directs them to the appropriate personnel in a prudent and efficient manner
* Greets patients in a friendly manner, collects insurance cards and identification, and verifies patient information
* Enters patient admitting information into our computer system and adds patients to our clinic schedule
* Receives payment on account and performs necessary accounting duties
* Participates in department quality improvement activities, staff educational programs, and attending departmental meetings
* Performs duties which may be assigned from time to time by Managers and Administration

**Education and/or Experience**
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Previous experience in a customer service or healthcare setting is preferred

* Knowledge of EMR, DocuTap, Excel Spreadsheet software, and MS Word Processing software is required
