Job Overview

The Senior Director II, Customer Strategic Insights will lead a high-performing team of insights professionals to define and steward industry, customer, and consumer insights that accelerate revenue and volume growth. This role will provide thought leadership, strategic storytelling, and unlock new opportunities through insights innovations, best practices, and partnerships. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the consumer and customer landscape, advanced analytical capabilities, and a proven track record of driving business growth through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of six seasoned insights directors to develop and deploy best-in-class insights that shape business direction and drive growth
  • Provide people leadership, coaching, and development to ensure the success of the team and drive engagement
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, business planning, and industry leadership, to define top opportunities and develop a robust analytics and testing agenda
  • Continuously navigate and survey the competitive environment to identify marketplace opportunities and risks, and leverage external marketplace intelligence to inform business planning
  • Collaborate with the global blithequark network to ensure optimal use of resources, knowledge sharing, and expansion of insights capabilities
  • Set strategic guidance on critical insights and storytelling required to win business renewals and drive growth for the blithequark system
  • Identify and deploy latest technologies, partnerships, and innovative approaches to ensure fast-paced and agile insights development

Key Focus Areas

Strategic Thinking and Strategy Development

The Senior Director II, Customer Strategic Insights will define and set the agenda for critical insights and marketplace intelligence needs of the organization. This will involve partnering in the development of the annual business plan, driving strategy and opportunities, and ensuring the plan has a relevant strategy to win in the marketplace.

Relationship Management

The successful candidate will act as a network partner to ensure connectivity with other insights organizations, leading the way for knowledge sharing and application of growth-driving intelligence for blithequark customer partners. They will also build strong team-oriented relationships with other key internal business units and/or global partners to drive greater opportunities for the business.

People Leadership & Development

The Senior Director II, Customer Strategic Insights will recruit and retain a high-performance team, and serve as an advocate for future career opportunities and personal growth/development. They will set the agenda for training and capability building of the organization to enable deeper thought leadership in customer relationships.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate will have:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, with a preferred MBA or other graduate degree
  • 10+ years of experience in the CPG industry, with senior-level experience within the consumer goods/beverages industry
  • An innovative and collaborative mindset, comfortable with disruption and able to pivot with business changes
  • People leadership/management experience, specifically leading leaders of others
  • Customer experience in the Foodservice or CPG industry, or adjacent businesses (i.e., digital, supplier, bottler, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success in leading geographically dispersed teams
  • Experience across multiple disciplines beyond FSOP management (Human Insights, Revenue Growth Management, etc.)

What We Offer

At blithequark, we offer a competitive salary range of $224,100 - $257,600, depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also provide a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position. The annual incentive reference value percentage is 50, indicating performance at target.

Travel and Location
