Remote Senior Content Writer – Benefits Communication Specialist for Consumer Experience (Work‑From‑Home)
Why Businessolver?
Businessolver has been a trailblazer in benefits technology since 1998. Founded by HR professionals who understood the nuanced challenges of employee benefits administration, the company has grown into a secure, SaaS‑powered platform that helps organizations maximize investment, reduce risk, and empower employees to make informed, cost‑effective benefits choices. Our mission is simple: deliver measurable delight to every client and every employee they serve.
Today, we are looking for a passionate wordsmith to join our Consumer Experience team. In this role, you will be the voice that translates complex benefits programs into clear, compelling, and employee‑focused content that educates, engages, and drives action.
About the Role: Remote Senior Content Writer – Benefits Communication Specialist
As a Remote Senior Content Writer, you will serve as a content consultant for multiple client accounts, crafting educational materials, communications, and strategic narratives that align with each client’s unique culture, tone, and style guide. You will work from the comfort of your home office while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams, including client success managers, benefits analysts, and UX designers.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Content Development: Design, write, and edit a variety of employee‑facing materials such as benefits guides, enrollment FAQs, newsletters, intranet articles, video scripts, and social media posts.
 - Client‑Centric Customization: Tailor every piece of content to reflect the specific brand voice, cultural nuances, and compliance requirements of each client.
 - Quality Assurance: Ensure every deliverable meets the highest standards of accuracy, readability, and timeliness. Conduct thorough fact‑checking of health‑plan details and regulatory information.
 - Discovery & Research: Leverage discovery documentation, employee surveys, and demographic data to create content that resonates with diverse employee populations.
 - Style Guide Stewardship: Maintain and update client‑specific style guides, ensuring consistency across all communications.
 - Project Management: Use industry‑standard project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com) to track milestones, manage deadlines, and communicate status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
 - Client Relationship Building: Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic recommendations, presenting content concepts, and responding swiftly to client feedback.
 - Issue Resolution & Escalation: Identify potential roadblocks early, propose solutions, and escalate when necessary to maintain project momentum.
 - Data‑Driven Optimization: Analyze engagement metrics, open rates, and employee feedback to refine content strategies and demonstrate ROI.
 - Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of best practices in benefits communication, employment law, and content marketing; share insights with the team and incorporate emerging trends.

Essential Qualifications
- 4–7 years of professional experience in journalism, technical writing, content strategy, or a related field, preferably with exposure to HR or benefits topics.
 - Demonstrated mastery of AP and Chicago Manual of Style guidelines, with the ability to switch seamlessly between them based on client needs.
 - Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, tone, and voice.
 - Proven track record of delivering high‑quality content on tight deadlines while managing multiple concurrent projects.

 - A robust portfolio showcasing a range of writing samples (e‑books, whitepapers, newsletters, web copy, etc.) that highlight adaptability and clarity.
 - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with collaboration platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Teams) and content management systems (CMS) is a plus.

Preferred Add‑Ons
