As an adjunct faculty member in our School of Education, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our programs and help shape the next generation of educators. **Key Responsibilities** As an Experienced Adjunct Faculty - Remote - School of Education, you will be responsible for: * Teaching online courses in your area of expertise, using our learning management system, Blackboard * Developing and delivering high-quality course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments * Engaging with students through online discussions, email, and phone or video conferencing * Evaluating student learning and providing feedback to students * Participating in faculty development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay current in your field * Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement new programs and initiatives * Contributing to the development of our School of Education's strategic plan and goals **Essential Qualifications** To be considered for this role, you must have: * A graduate degree in your discipline * A minimum of 2 years' experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education * The ability to create and maintain an environment that emphasizes learning and encourages free discussion of ideas and critical thinking * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators * Experience with online teaching platforms, including Blackboard * A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: * Online teaching experience * Experience with teaching adult learners * Familiarity with competency-based education and self-paced online learning * Experience with curriculum development and program evaluation * Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage teams **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you will need: * Strong teaching and communication skills, with the ability to engage students in online learning environments * Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple courses and responsibilities * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate student learning and make data-driven decisions * A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds * Familiarity with online teaching platforms, including Blackboard * Experience with curriculum development and program evaluation **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As an adjunct faculty member at UMass Global, you will have the opportunity to: * Develop your teaching skills and expertise through faculty development opportunities * Contribute to the development of our School of Education's strategic plan and goals * Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new programs and initiatives * Participate in professional development opportunities, including conferences and workshops * Access a range of resources and support services, including academic advising, career counseling, and mental health services **Work Environment and Company Culture** As a remote adjunct faculty member, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, at any time, as long as you have a reliable internet connection.
