About This Role and What You Will Achieve

In this exciting part-time teller role, you will be responsible for supporting customer engagement by processing teller transactions, sharing digital solutions, and making appropriate introductions to bankers. You will complete operational activities while minimizing risks under established policies and perform routine transactional, operational, and customer support tasks efficiently through knowledge of bank procedures and products, as well as partners across the organization. Your primary goal will be to identify information and services to meet customers' financial needs, demonstrate care, build relationships, and complete requested transactions.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Process teller transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Share digital solutions with customers, such as online banking and mobile banking, to enhance their banking experience and increase customer engagement.
  • Make appropriate introductions to bankers to provide customers with access to a wide range of financial products and services.
  • Complete operational activities, such as maintaining cash handling and balancing, while minimizing risks under established policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine transactional, operational, and customer support tasks efficiently through knowledge of bank procedures and products, as well as partners across the organization.
  • Receive direction from managers and exercise judgment within defined policies and procedures to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Escalate questions and issues to more experienced roles, such as team leaders or managers, to ensure prompt resolution and minimize delays.
  • Interact with customers and individuals to demonstrate care, build relationships, and complete requested transactions, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify information and services to meet customers' financial needs, such as account opening, loan applications, or investment products, and provide referrals to relevant teams or partners.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. You should have:

  • 1+ year of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve customer issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of banking products and services, including but not limited to deposit accounts, loans, and investments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred:

  • Experience working in a banking or financial services environment, with knowledge of banking products and services.
  • Strong knowledge of digital banking solutions, including online banking and mobile banking.
  • Experience working in a hybrid remote environment, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues to achieve business objectives.
  • Basic knowledge of risk management and compliance, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
