Job Overview

In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing counsel to more experienced administration on monetary bookkeeping-related matters, performing complex exercises related to maintaining record accounts, creating fiscal summaries, and administrative reports. Your duties will include accumulating and surveying financial information for monetary and administrative reports, ensuring the accuracy of data from the general ledger, unit reports, and different financial systems. You will also prepare and audit account reconciliations and verifications, investigate projects connecting with financial accounting strategies, techniques, or systems, and perform ongoing financial control functions as per internal control policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide counsel to more experienced administration for monetary bookkeeping-related matters
  • Perform complex exercises related to maintaining record accounts, creating fiscal summaries, and administrative reports
  • Accumulate and survey financial information for monetary and administrative reports
  • Ensure the accuracy of data from the general ledger, unit reports, and different financial systems
  • Prepare and audit account reconciliations and verifications

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have at least 2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Analysis, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting, or Risk Reporting, or comparable experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. Your experience should reflect a strong and diverse skill set in relevant areas to drive success.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of SEC/Federal quarterly reporting experience
  • Fiserv data/knowledge and COSO-based Sarbanes-Oxley internal control assessment implementation experience
  • Military experience or analysis experience including operational management, project management, mission development management, and financial management
  • 1+ year of credit card industry reporting experience; corporate/business loan products knowledge
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Big 4/regional public accounting/financial services experience
  • Hyperion Essbase/SmartView, advanced Microsoft Excel with VLOOKUP/pivot tables
  • Solid knowledge/experience with General Ledger reconciliations and automation tools
  • Independent judgment/creative problem-solving to investigate/identify/anticipate downstream effects in complex matrixed environments
  • Knowledge/understanding of US GAAP financial statements or components preparation with the ability to translate/summarize complex data into understandable, meaningful information and recommendations

You should have advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) and be proficient in using various software applications.
