Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Operations Producer II, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing guidance and training to Remote Operations staff, including Operations Coordinators and technical crew, to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality broadcasts.
- Ensuring that appropriate timelines are met for technical and financial planning, including creating and building event-specific paperwork, such as surveys, tech books, and post reports.
- Facilitating the troubleshooting of complex technical, operational, and personnel issues as they arise on site, communicating with Production, Operations, and school personnel to resolve issues efficiently.
- Possessing knowledge of current broadcast standards and potential future developments, attending industry events as assigned by Management to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of new technologies for assigned remote-based events, collaborating with the team to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Regular travel to remote events, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the year in accordance with sport schedules.
- Knowledge of organization, financial, and logistics planning related to show creation, including working knowledge of differing production models, signal flow, scalability, and transmission.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including voice and email communication, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to operate within the defined goals of the Remote Operations department.
- Fluency in common computer-based software programs used for data compilation, information distribution, and presentations.
- A High School Diploma, with a Bachelor's Degree or Technical School Degree in Communications, Broadcasting, or a Related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- 4 years of related technical and/or operational planning, on-site management, and procurement experience.
- Knowledge of technical software-based tools, with relevance to broadcast planning, and solid knowledge of comms workflow in relation to technical broadcast plan fulfillment.
