Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues related to bookkeeping and accounting software processes.
 - Troubleshoot customer issues, providing solutions and resolving problems in a timely and professional manner.
 - Assist customers with questions related to ledger entry, navigation, and other software-related issues.
 - Utilize your bookkeeping and accounting expertise to provide guidance on AR, AP, journal entries, reconciliation, and other accounting processes.
 - Cross-sell relevant products and services while addressing customer concerns.
 - Take ownership of customer issues, providing confident resolution and ensuring customer satisfaction.
 
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage).
 - Bookkeeping and accounting expertise, including experience with AR, AP, journal entries, reconciliation, and other accounting processes.
 - Customer service experience, with a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service over the phone in a virtual or "brick and mortar" call center environment.
 - Comfort with cross-selling relevant products while addressing customer concerns.
 - Strong ownership of customer issues, with the ability to take control of the situation and provide confident resolution.
 - Tech-savvy and avid computer user, with excellent communication skills and a friendly tone.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
 - Experience working in a remote or virtual call center environment.
 - Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software and technologies.
 - Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., QuickBooks Certified User).

Compensation and Benefits:

Technology Requirements:

Important Information:
Please note that this is a remote, independent contractor role, and you'll be required to live and work from the United States, except CA, NY, PA, WA. You'll also need to successfully pass a criminal background check.
Contractual Relationship:
The relationship between you and blithequark is a contractual relationship. As an independent contractor, you'll be responsible for your own taxes and benefits. You'll also agree to have no claim against blithequark for vacation pay, sick leave, retirement benefits, Social Security, worker's compensation, health or disability benefits, overtime, unemployment insurance benefits, or employee benefits of any kind.
