This is a remote opportunity with the flexibility to work from anywhere, but it's tied to the Oklahoma City location for logistical and operational purposes. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of 2nd-12th grade students, guiding them through their math journey and watching them grow in confidence and competence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality, individualized math instruction in a group setting, ensuring each student receives the support they need.
  • Assess students' learning progress and engagement during instructional sessions, adjusting your teaching strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress, providing them with insights into their child's development and suggesting ways they can support their child's learning.
  • Teach and tutor students using the Mathnasium Method®, terminology, and teaching practices, adapting your approach to meet the needs of in-center, online, and hybrid delivery models.
  • Become proficient in using digital educational materials and processes, staying up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies that can enhance the learning experience.
  • Support the maintenance of a safe, professional, and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore, learn, and grow.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of our center and ensuring that all logistical aspects are well-managed.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To excel in this role, you'll need a passion for math and a knack for working with students. Here are the key qualifications we're looking for:

  • Passion for Math and Education: A genuine enthusiasm for math and a desire to share this with students, making complex concepts accessible and fun.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, building strong relationships based on trust and respect.
  • Eagerness to Learn: A willingness to undergo training and continuous professional development, staying abreast of best practices in math education.
  • Math Competency: Exceptional math skills, with a minimum proficiency level of Algebra I. You'll need to demonstrate your math literacy through a test as part of our hiring process.
  • Leadership and Instructional Skills: The capacity to balance leadership responsibilities with instructional duties, guiding your team while delivering high-quality teaching.

All applicants will be required to undergo a math literacy test to assess their math proficiency, provide documentation of work authorization, and pass a background check as part of our hiring process.
