Hiring Department<br><br>Performing Arts Operations<br><br><strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>Under specific direction, safely and efficiently place equipment, set up seating, buffet, cabaret, and/or banquet tables to match client or supervisor requests. In support of events, clean and maintain the performance and presentation spaces before, during, and after events:<br><br><ul><li>Sweep, mop, and vacuum</li><li>Wipe down surfaces</li><li>Empty trash and replace liners</li><li>Restock restrooms<br><br></li></ul>Under certain circumstances, shovel snow from entryways or treat areas<br><br>Receive, unload and re-load deliveries of items and equipment from semi/box trucks as necessary.<br><br>Provide courteous and expeditious customer service for patrons and clients.<br><br>Comport themselves in a professional manner in keeping with the core values of both the University of Missouri Saint Louis and the Touhill Performing Arts Center.<br><br><strong>Supervision Received<br><br></strong>Works under general supervision and within procedures and guidelines.<br><br>Supervisors will train employees in specific areas of production as needed to support the client’s needs and the professional development of the employee<br><br><strong>Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor applicants for this position for employment visas.<br><br></strong>Shift<br><br>Variable depending on event needs<br><br><strong>Minimum Qualifications<br><br></strong>High school diploma or equivalent and some work experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.<br><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong>Ability to transport objects weighing up to 60 pounds.<br><br>Ability to work long and unusual hours, including late at night.<br><br>Willingness to work hard and take direction.<br><br>Experience in event or theatrical setup and production (any area of emphasis).<br><br><strong>Good Communication Skills And Customer Service Experience Is Recommended<br><br></strong>Anticipated Hiring Range<br><br>Salary Range: $18.00 per hour<br><br>Grade: GGS-005<br><br>University Title: Stage Services Assistant<br><br>Internal applicants can determine their University title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.<br><br>Application Materials<br><br><ul><li> Application materials include a cover letter and resume.
