Job Summary
We're seeking experienced Product Designers to join our team, working on exciting projects that bring innovative ideas and solutions to life. As a Product Designer at FedEx Dataworks, you'll be responsible for employing customer-centered design principles, skills, methods, and technologies to drive design projects forward. You'll work collaboratively with stakeholders to sketch potential use cases, create highly detailed design artifacts, and develop design systems that ensure consistency and quality across all capability teams.
Key Responsibilities
Product Designer Senior
- Leads conversations based on organizational strategy and principles to create alignment across teams.
- Facilitates discussions across teams, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to share their opinion and be heard.
- Guides discussions toward decisions, clarifies user experience strategy, and gets buy-in from stakeholders.
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to sketch potential use cases or user flows.
- Creates highly detailed design artifacts (flows, journey maps, service blueprints, wires, mocks, prototypes, specs, related documentation) to clearly communicate a compelling desired future state for the product.
- Develops and maintains UI components, patterns, libraries, and guidelines for a cohesive user experience as part of Design System development.
- Organizes content and navigation effectively on an application level (e.g., sitemap) and screen level (e.g., wireframe).
- Plans and executes card sorting activities with appropriate stakeholders.
- Works with a Lead UX Researcher to select the appropriate research techniques.
Product Designer Lead
- Provides expert-level UX strategy, guidance, and design across multiple projects at a time.
- Leads by example, doing great work and helping team members learn and grow.
- Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business goals, objectives, and user needs.
- Translates business goals and user needs into compelling product experiences that drive successful outcomes.
- Creates processes and pathways for Designers and Engineers to contribute to the design system.
- Guides design discussions toward decisions, clarifies user experience strategy, and gets buy-in from stakeholders.
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to sketch potential use cases or user flows.
- Creates highly detailed design artifacts (flows, journey maps, service blueprints, wires, mocks, prototypes, specs, related documentation) to clearly communicate a compelling desired future state for the product.
- Develops and maintains design systems, patterns, libraries, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all capability teams.
Requirements and Qualifications
Product Designer Senior
- Three to four years of experience delivering successful design work.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Design, Business, or a related field.
- A portfolio of work showcasing a strong sense of visual design.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
- Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from stakeholders.
- Knowledge or work experience in design, design thinking, or a related discipline.
- Good interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with or passion for web3, ecommerce, and/or supply chain.
- Ability to use Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to create design solutions leveraging a design system.
Product Designer Lead
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Design, Business, or a related field.
- Five to seven years of experience in design, design thinking, or a related discipline.
- Two years of experience leading design thinking work streams.
- Moderately advanced human relations and communication skills.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Ability to use Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to create design solutions leveraging a design system.
- Experience in product design, interaction design, information design, and information architecture, web design.
