About the Community Sponsorship Hub
The Community Sponsorship Hub (CSH) is a dynamic organization dedicated to growing the role of communities in the protection, resettlement, and integration of refugees and other forcibly displaced people. Mobilizing civil society, and the public, private, and philanthropic sectors, and empowering them with resources and access, we shape and coordinate a community sponsorship system that leverages the power of welcoming Americans.
CSH operates in the U.S. and works remotely with staff and partners across the nation.
About the Programs
CSH offers programs that support the arrival, resettlement, and integration of forcibly displaced populations, including refugees and Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders. Established to expand pathways for community involvement in refugee resettlement, CSH launched the first private sponsorship program in the United States since the 1980s with the creation of the Sponsor Circle Program in 2021. This groundbreaking initiative introduced a community-led model of resettlement outside of the traditional agency structure, empowering everyday Americans to directly support displaced individuals and families.
Building on this success, CSH continues to strengthen and expand community sponsorship nationwide. Current initiatives such as the Sponsor Circle Program and localized community sponsorship programs made possible through the Catalyst Grant support trained, vetted sponsor groups and local organizations to deliver tailored assistance, ensuring newcomers are welcomed with dignity and positioned for long-term stability and self-sufficiency. Across all initiatives, CSH works to build sustainable pathways that empower individuals and institutions to welcome newcomers and foster integration, ensuring that displaced individuals are met with effective, community-supported opportunities to rebuild their lives.
Position Overview
The Virtual Case Manager will play a central role in advancing CSH’s mission by working across national and local partners to deliver tailored, holistic support to refugees, Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders, and other newcomer populations living in the United States through sponsorship. Each newcomer will be paired with a vetted and trained sponsor group, and the Virtual Case Manager will serve as a critical bridge between sponsors, service providers, and community resources to ensure effective coordination of post-arrival services and resolution of challenges.
By providing direct intensive case management and equipping sponsors with tools and guidance, the Virtual Case Manager will help newcomers and their sponsors access housing, healthcare, education, employment, and other essential supports. This position is designed to strengthen integration outcomes by working with the local community to support newcomer stability and self-sufficiency.

• Training sponsors to help newcomers navigate healthcare systems and communicate effectively with providers.
• Coordinating referrals for escalated health concerns, including mental health and disability services.

• Providing sponsors with tools and guidance to assist newcomers in maintaining a safe and healthy home environment.
Integration and Cultural Adjustment
• Coordinating delivery of one-on-one and group cultural orientation sessions on topics such as budgeting, transportation, digital literacy, and community engagement.

Documentation and Reporting
• Maintaining accurate case notes, service plans, and records of client and sponsor interactions in accordance with CSH standards.
• Reporting on service delivery, sponsor engagement, outcomes, and emerging trends.
• Contributing to program evaluation and continuous improvement.
Other Duties
