About the position
Responsibilities
• Work from operation sheets, blueprints, and verbal instructions to perform diversified assembling operations.
• Set up and operate a variety of machines and assembly operations to specific tolerances using available fixtures.
• Perform operations such as assembly, wiring, testing, and packing.
• Use a variety of measuring instruments to test components for acceptability to operating requirements and specifications.
• Perform minor maintenance of bench and shop tools and equipment.
• Maintain records of parts and components processed.
• Guide and train lower level employees as needed.
• Keep work area safe, clean, and orderly.
• Use prescribed personal protection equipment (PPE) where necessary.
• Follow established environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
• Knowledge equivalent to high school, industrial or trade training.
• Ability to read and interpret uncomplicated drawings.
• 1 to 3 years of assembly experience involving hand and eye coordination skills.
