About the People Team
Our UK People team is newly formed and this role will be the second member of the team. We’re passionate about ensuring every employee at ZigZag has the best possible employee experience. We’re here to support employees – they’re our clients!
This is a great time to be joining the team as we’re in the process of building out all our processes and establishing the function. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape our processes, philosophies and culture.
Requirements
This role is part-time and the equivalent of 3 days (24 hours) a week and we're flexible about when those hours are worked throughout the week.
What you’ll be doing:
Employee Lifecycle
Manage all employee life-cycle processes including, onboarding, benefits, probation and offboarding
Ensure all right to work checks are completed and up to date
Issue all employee documentation, including contracts and amendment letters
Support the administration of company benefits
Support with the running of our review cycles, such a performance reviews and salary reviews
Support with employment relations cases and processes
Help to create and maintain all People & Culture policies and philosophies, touching on all aspects on the employee journey
Support with creating, rolling out and managing culture and culture change initiatives, ensuring we are being intentional about harnessing and preserving our great working culture as we grow
Support for Employees
Be the first point of contact for employees, providing day-to-day support for any queries or concerns they may have around pay, policies and process etc.
Listen to employees, collecting their feedback on culture and processes, suggesting ways in which we can improve based on these
Support employees in the visa application process
Constantly looking to improving our workflows and processes, making full use of our HRIS and other tools to help automate processes
Build and produce reports to keep track of people metrics
Produce and upload reports for salary benchmarking
People Data and Reporting
Maintain our HRIS, HiBoB ensuring our is always up to date and employees files and documentation

Build and produce reports to keep track of people metrics
What you’ll need to be successful:
1-2 years previous experience in HR or People Ops
Genuinely care about people and their employment experience
Ability to take initiative, be autonomous and get stuff done
A positive and solution focused approach to problem solving
Ability to work well with ambiguity and turn ideas into practical processes and clear philosophies
Emotional intelligence and the ability to treat difficult conversations and sensitive situations with care
A sincere and professional approach, always being honest, ethical and fair
Great communication skills – one of our key roles as people team is to build trust and deliver clear and consistent messaging to employees of all levels
