Part-Time Recruiting Assistant for Outdoor Living Construction Company (No Client Contact)
I'm the owner of a growing residential outdoor living construction company based in Georgia. We design and build high-end decks, patios, and outdoor spaces for homeowners who want to turn their backyard into a sanctuary.
I’m looking for a part-time, remote recruiting assistant to help streamline our hiring process and keep our team growing with the right people. This is a behind-the-scenes admin role — no client contact, no sales, and no in-field responsibilities.
You’ll follow a clear hiring system using provided templates and checklists. Your job is to help manage candidate flow, screen responses, and organize everything so I can make quick decisions without getting bogged down in admin work.
What You'll Be Doing
Posting job openings to a variety of platforms (e.g., job boards, local groups, community forums — we’ll figure out what works best)
Sending pre-written screening questions to applicants
Logging and organizing responses in Google Sheets or Excel
Flagging strong applicants for my review
Preparing interview info (I’ll handle scheduling and candidate contact)
Providing a weekly update on applicant flow and open tasks
Ideal Candidate Has
Strong written English and communication skills
Solid follow-through and attention to detail
Prior experience supporting hiring, recruiting, or admin tasks
Comfortable with basic tech tools: Google Docs, Sheets, and Excel
Familiarity with construction, trades, or home services is a plus
Proactive about solving problems without being micromanaged
Important Notes
Must be located in the U.S.
You won’t talk to clients, prospects, or vendors — this role is strictly internal
I will personally handle all background checks and candidate communications
Part-time: 5–10 hours per week to start, possibly more as we grow
Flexible schedule, but responsiveness during U.S. business hours is important
To Apply, Please
Tell me what U.S. state and time zone you're in
Send a short Loom or voice message introducing yourself
Share 1–2 examples of similar work you’ve done (recruiting, VA, admin, etc.)
Note: Applicants who don’t confirm their location or include a voice/Loom message won’t be considered.
