Delivery Consultant - z Solutions, GDPS
About the position
Responsibilities
• Work closely with IBM clients and partners to design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions.
• Apply technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery while leveraging consultative skills.
• Understand clients' main challenges and develop solutions that help them reach true business value.
• Create and execute agile plans for installing and provisioning assets, testing, migrating to production, and day-two operations.
• Conduct and participate in technical solution workshops.
• Develop successful relationships at all levels from engineers to CxOs.
• Demonstrate self-motivation, curiosity, and initiative in problem-solving.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively across client, partner, and IBM teams.
Requirements
• High School Diploma/GED.
• 3+ years' experience in customer-facing communications, requirements analysis, documentation, and report presentations.
• Strong knowledge of IBM Systems Z hardware and software ecosystem, focusing on IBM Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex (GDPS).
• Experience with z/OS, Parallel Sysplex, Networking, and Automation skills.
• Ability to lead customer technical workshops with up to 20+ people.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% annually.
• Fluent in English.
Nice-to-haves
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Knowledge or experience with GDPS, PPRC and DR solution design and procedures.
• Practical SMP/E knowledge.
• Assembler, JCL, REXX and CLIST knowledge.
• IBM System Automation and Red Hat.
• Ansible knowledge.
• Basic RACF knowledge.
