Financial Analyst II, DHHS The Utah Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Finance and Administration is hiring a financial analyst to help continue our vision of providing outstanding customer service and leadership in areas of administrative services, finance, budget, procurement, and contracts. If offered this position, your continued employment with DHHS will be contingent upon passing a fingerprint background check. • Assisting the Finance Office. • Investigating and resolving accounting issues. • Entering transactions into the State accounting system. Minimum Qualifications • Effective communication skills, both in writing and verbally. • Ability to work with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. • Seeking to gain accounting experience and work in a professional office environment. • Has experience using Excel. Preferred Qualifications • Has experience working in accounting or higher education in Accounting or Finance. • Preference may be given for applicants with basic accounting course work in school or experience. • Has experience with expenditure budgets. • Has experience working with account reconciliations. • Effective July 1, 2021, State of Utah Employees must either reside in Utah or be in the process of relocating to within 30 days of their start date. • This position may currently be a hybrid of both in-office and remote work days.
