Job description: As part of the Quality Assurance Process in the OPG Behavior Services Department, the Behavior Support Services (BSS) Quality Assurance Specialist Lead's (QAS Lead) main role is to assist OPG in maintenance and improvement of the quality of supports people receive. The QAS Lead maintains and monitors the document submission system for the Behavior Specialists, as well as completes data entry tasks to keep track of a large amount of information for each Behavior Specialist in the department. The QAS Lead further impacts quality by assisting in data collection used to inform tri-annual performance snapshots and yearly performance reviews for Behavior Specialists. To ensure best practices, the QAS Lead conducts weekly audits of billing submitted by the department. Human Rights Committee (HRC) support is also a large part of the role of QAS Lead. By assisting the OPG HRC Facilitator in monitoring the system of document submission to the HRC, reviewing the agenda, as well as participating in the meetings and completing document follow-up after the meeting, the QAS Lead impacts quality by assisting in the process to review the rights of people supported. The QAS Lead supervises the department's Part-time QAS and all of the tasks assigned. The QAS Lead will also review quality practices within the department and make suggestions to improve or increase the level of quality measures. The QAS Lead participates in OPG's Quality Management Committee as a representative of the BSS Department Leadership Team (BLT) in addition to the Quality Team as a representative of the BSS Department.
