Crisis Responder (Overnights & Weekends PRN)
About the position
Responsibilities
• Provide on-call crisis intervention and assessment for individuals in need.
• Respond to crisis calls within a 30-minute driving distance to Oak Park and River Forest, IL.
• Engage with clients in crisis, offering essential support and intervention.
• Collaborate with a team of clinicians and community partners to ensure effective crisis response.
• Participate in virtual paid training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
• Master's degree in Forensic Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work, or actively pursuing LPC/LSW licensure.
• Targeted experience in Forensic Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work.
• Experience performing mental health risk assessments and de-escalating individuals in crisis.
• Familiarity with DCFS and comfortable working alongside law enforcement and emergency responders.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
Nice-to-haves
• Real world knowledge and skills in mental health crisis intervention.
• Experience in a similar role or environment.
