Join Our Team:

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Division Business Administrator to lead our Academic Pathways and Workforce Partnerships (APWP) division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, financial management, and human resources expertise to drive academic excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and financial reporting for the division, ensuring compliance with UAMS policies and procedures. - Collaborate with program leaders to develop program budgets, track compliance, and devise annual plans for Foundation funds. - Develop and implement consistent budgeting and financial management procedures, performing regular financial forecasts and ROI calculations. - Monitor cash handling procedures, perform internal audits, and negotiate and administer grants and contracts. - Partner with the Vice Chancellor to ensure financial viability and develop strategic plans for the division. - Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training for new staff, ensuring compliance with UAMS rules and policies. - Demonstrate proficiency in all Human Resources functions and systems, investing in continuing education to stay abreast of changes. - Supervise administrative support personnel as needed and participate in UAMS administrative councils and committees.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of experience in budget, finance, and human resource management. - Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience in higher education finance and HR, preferably within UAMS. - Thorough knowledge of UAMS policies and procedures, as well as a deep understanding of all UAMS colleges, institutes, and the integrated clinical enterprise. - Fluency in Workday, FFTA, TRACKS, nTracts, and other division-held systems.
