We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Autism Care Advocate to join our team, working remotely from anywhere in the U.S. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in reviewing medical necessity for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) requests, providing Autism education and resources to parents and caregivers, and coordinating benefits and transitions between various areas of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to ensure valid diagnosis and determine medical necessity for ABA treatment
- Collaborate with providers to obtain clinical information and manage outpatient cases throughout the treatment plan
- Provide education and resources to parents/caregivers on ABA treatment and benefit plans
- Quote benefits, provide referrals, and identify ways to add value to treatment plans
- Work in a fast-paced, telephonic environment with a structured schedule, Monday - Friday, 7am - 7pm CST
Requirements:
- Active, unrestricted clinical mental health license (e.g., Social Worker, Counselor, Therapist, or Psychologist) or Licensed Behavior Analyst certification
- 2+ years of post-licensure experience in a related mental health environment, with experience working with children and/or adolescents with Autism
- Demonstrated computer literacy in a Windows environment, including MS Word and Outlook
- Ability to work in a remote environment with secure, high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace
Preferred Qualifications:
- ABA certification
- Managed Care experience
- Utilization Management experience
- Experience coordinating benefits and utilizing multiple resources for patients
