Responsibilities:

  • Account Review and Qualification: Review high-dollar self-pay accounts to determine eligibility for medication or implant assistance, working with drug manufacturers to qualify patients and ensure timely completion of all qualifying accounts.
  • Communication and Coordination: Maintain ongoing communication with hospital departments regarding assigned accounts, keep logs of approved accounts, and ensure proper handling of charges on approved accounts.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Knowledge: Stay updated on applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, and demonstrate proficiency in using relevant systems and programs within the department.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital pharmacy or healthcare setting with pharmacy knowledge
  • Certification: Pharmacy Technician Certification required
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
