The Role

As a Pediatric Mental Health Therapist (Virtual), your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health counseling and therapeutic interventions to an assigned caseload of K-12 students. You will work collaboratively with school personnel, family members, and other stakeholders to bring accessible healthcare to students nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual mental health counseling and therapeutic interventions to K-12 students
  • Conduct initial mental health intake assessments and create individual treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the care management team to ensure a successful transition into Hazel services
  • Participate in trainings, meetings, and other activities
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Meet minimum required weekly availability and productivity levels

Requirements

  • Licensed as an independent mental health therapist in NC and the state where you reside
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a school-based setting or with school-aged children
  • Working knowledge of diagnosis and assessment practices, treatment strategies, and interventions related to mental health needs of children and their families
  • Strong technological skills, including ability to learn new software and programs
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to obtain licensure in other states, as needed

Schedule

This is a part-time W2 position with two months off in the summer, requiring 12 hours minimum per week. You can choose your set schedule, including weekday shifts after 4PM EST.
