Job Description:
Join Target's innovative cybersecurity team as a Principal Security Architect & Engineer, where you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing secure systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving impactful changes to improve the business. As a key member of our team, you'll leverage your deep understanding of security risks, controls, and standards to advise on secure architecture, identify potential vulnerabilities, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
We're seeking a highly technical and collaborative individual with exceptional communication skills, a strong understanding of security frameworks and best practices, and experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and DLP. If you're passionate about staying current on relevant technologies, have a proven history of effectively utilizing security tools, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with system designers to integrate security requirements into the design phase of IT systems
- Develop and maintain security architecture documentation, including security models, frameworks, and diagrams
- Ensure security architecture aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Identify potential vulnerabilities and threats, and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Design and implement security solutions, including firewalls, encryption protocols, and access control mechanisms
- Provide guidance on secure coding practices and collaborate with development and operations teams
About You:
- 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in technology, with extensive knowledge of cybersecurity domains
- Proven history of effectively utilizing security tools and technologies
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
