As a key member of our Development and Alumni Engagement team, you will be responsible for driving the success of our annual giving programs, fostering meaningful relationships with donors, and contributing to the advancement of our institution's mission.

As an Assistant Director, Annual Giving, you will work closely with the Director of Annual Giving to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies, leveraging a range of channels, including email, social media, video messaging, and phone. Your expertise will help build deeper connections with Stevens donors, support our annual giving goals, and drive the growth of our leadership annual giving society and loyalty society.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the overall annual giving program, including establishing, implementing, and evaluating plans to solicit philanthropic support from alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Annual Giving to create and support responsive fundraising strategies, develop solicitation materials, and manage audience engagement and solicitation strategies.
  • Manage individual peer-to-peer outreach strategies, oversee philanthropic volunteer programs, and develop email templates and talking points for volunteer and staff outreach.
  • Build relationships at scale with individual donors, leveraging email, phone, social media, video messaging, texts, and current technologies to connect with donors and deepen engagement with Stevens.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of related professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in fundraising, annual giving, or direct sales, preferably in a higher education or nonprofit setting, with a willingness to solicit donors.
  • Adept at using social media, text, phone, and video technologies, with the ability to create strong professional relationships across mediums.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a readiness to engage alumni and friends from diverse backgrounds at a high velocity and in a personalized and respectful manner.
