Transformational Sales Director (Life Science Testing) - Unlock Your Potential

Job Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Sales Director to spearhead our Life Science Americas Team, driving business growth, and fostering a culture of excellence. As a key leader, you will empower your team to achieve remarkable results, expand our customer base, and solidify our position as a trusted partner in the life science industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth, customer satisfaction, and productivity, aligning with Element's 'go-to-market' strategy
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing sales team, comprising Business Development Directors, Managers, and Associates, as well as Inside Sales Managers and Quotation Management Teams
  • Foster a proactive, positive, and enterprise-focused sales approach, ensuring seamless execution and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Drive new customer acquisition, penetration, and account management, leveraging your expertise to advance sales opportunities and grow our market share
  • Represent regional sales in business reviews, reporting, and leadership forums, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions
  • Ensure compliance with Element's policies, procedures, and applicable laws, maintaining the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and governance

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of sales management experience, with a proven track record of building and leading elite sales teams
  • Experience managing teams of 50+ generating $200m+, with a strong background in life science disciplines (pharmaceutical, environmental, consumer products, medical device, food testing, etc.)
  • Previous experience in the TIC (Testing, Inspection, and Certification) industry, with a deep understanding of testing procedures, requirements, and regulations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to drive business growth, improve processes, and optimize results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel), with experience in interpreting testing procedures, requirements, and customer specifications
  • Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the company at a broad range of events, projects, and customer engagements, with a strong presence and professional demeanor
