We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accounts Receivable Representative to join our team. As a key member of our accounts receivable team, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of claims, while providing exceptional support to our providers and patients.
Job Description Overview:
The Senior Accounts Receivable Representative will be responsible for monitoring workflow trends, communicating with the A/R Supervisor and A/R Manager, and serving as a resource for their assigned team. This role will involve compiling and preparing reports, utilizing the Enterprise Task Manager System and Informatics Reporting system, and ensuring claims are processed in a timely manner to support provider interests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Train new employees, monitor production and QA, and report concerns to the Supervisor and/or Manager
- Review and analyze reports, including No Activity PIT and Rejection PIT, to identify problematic areas and escalate to Supervisor and/or Manager
- Assist assigned team members in reaching monthly metrics and goals, and provide QA reports and feedback
- Review carrier manuals and websites, and inform management of new procedures or changes impacting claims
- Process non-routine write-off adjustments, ensure corrected invoices are processed within schedule, and maintain ETM escalation view
Job Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of physician billing policies and procedures
- Computer literate, with working knowledge of Excel and ability to learn new systems
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with good organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to work independently and lead assigned team
- High school diploma or equivalent, with minimum 3 years of medical billing experience and emphasis on A/R analysis
- General knowledge of ICD and CPT coding
