About the position Responsibilities • Source, curate, create, caption, and schedule engaging content for social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn. • Monitor emerging social, cultural, and lifestyle trends and make informed predictions that allow us to lead, rather than follow. • Gather and organize content assets for use across the brand. • Request and manage permissions for user-generated content. • Assist with video shoots as needed. • Monitor and respond to direct messages, comments, and mentions across all social media channels in a timely and professional manner. • Manage collaborations and social inboxes, assisting the Social Media & Content Manager with vetting, responding to, and coordinating partnerships, product seeding, and sponsored content opportunities. • Foster and grow communities across all platforms, including Facebook Groups. • Help manage review platforms (e.g., Yelp and Google My Business). Requirements • 1-3 years of relevant work experience (personal passion projects are a plus). • Deep and intuitive understanding of social media, with an emphasis on Instagram and TikTok. • Passion for social media, home design, and building the Serena & Lily brand. • Keen eye for design. • Capable writer and meticulous proofreader. • Strong interpersonal skills and a love for building relationships and community. • Well-organized and always looking for ways to work more effectively. • Self-motivated and performance-driven. • Ability to work in both strategic and hands-on, detail-oriented capacities. • Curious, creative, and eager to constantly challenge our approach. • Ability to move or handle furniture, filming equipment, and other objects, generally weighing 0-50 pounds. • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to the role, including ladders. • Located in the contiguous US.
