AP Spanish Tutor (Remote)

We’re seeking a passionate and dependable AP Spanish Tutor to support high school students preparing for the AP Spanish Language and Culture or AP Spanish Literature exams. The ideal candidate will deliver personalized instruction, strengthen exam skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing), and help students aim for a score of 5. Candidates: • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Should have received a 5 on the AP Spanish Exam • Familiarity with the AP Spanish exam format and scoring rubrics. • Spanish major/minor or background in Education / Linguistics • Teaching certification or formal pedagogy training • Develop and deliver tailored lessons focused on AP-level tasks: presentational speaking, interpersonal and interpretive skills. • Guide students through authentic practice: AP-style writing prompts, oral presentations, listening comprehensions. • Administer mock assessments to track progress and refine strategy. • Provide regular feedback and actionable improvement plans each session. • Incorporate effective exam strategies like time management, command-of-evidence, cultural commentary. • Engage students in cultural discussions to deepen understanding of Spanish-speaking world contexts. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to individual learning styles.
