Job Description
Position Overview:
Responsible for all rights management, near-term and long-term programming, strategic scheduling, formatting, reporting and contingency planning for all sports across linear and digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for scheduling, planning, and reporting, including communicating schedule information to both internal and external partners.
• Responsible for negotiating and managing rights to sports events and programming.
• Identifies and fosters strong strategic partnerships across the Versant sports portfolio of sports leagues, teams, and other organizations.
• Oversee all matters related to live Sports and Golf Channel contingencies, including leveraging relationships across VERSANT and with league partners
• Collaborate with sales and production to create and execute program formats.
• Identifies and implements changes to programming content, schedule and look based on research data.
• Oversee sports VOD programming and content and the GolfPass Virtual Channel.
• Manage all aspects of international programming related to sports to help generate distribution deals and manage international partner relationships.
• Lead & manage a programming team.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, related field, or equivalent
• Minimum 15 years of experience in sports programming in broadcast industry
• Proven ability to work with and influence senior key stakeholders
• Experience building and leading creative, forward-thinking teams

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experienced knowledge base of basketball, golf, motorsports
