Enrolled Agent - Part Time

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Enrolled Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of tax regulations, allowing them to represent clients before the IRS effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to client management and the ability to analyze complex financial situations, providing tailored solutions for diverse client needs. Duties • Represent clients in matters before the IRS, including audits and appeals. • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws. • Analyze financial data and provide insights to clients regarding their tax situations. • Assist clients with estate planning strategies, ensuring their financial goals are met while minimizing tax liabilities. • Interpret financial reports and provide guidance on debits, credits, and general ledger accounting practices. • Utilize accounting software such as Xero for efficient record-keeping and reporting. • Write detailed financial reports that clearly communicate findings and recommendations to clients. • Stay updated on changes in securities law and tax regulations to ensure accurate representation and advice. Experience • Proven experience as an Enrolled Agent or in a similar role within the accounting or tax preparation field. • Strong understanding of financial report interpretation and writing. • Familiarity with estate planning principles is preferred. • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, is highly desirable. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial information effectively. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly to clients.
