Trilateral Research is recruiting for two Data Protection Advisors, with proven expertise and experience in relation to data protection compliance, to join our Data Protection and Cyber-risk service. Both roles can be based in either the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland. As part of the team, you will be exposed to some of the most interesting data protection challenges of the day, which we resolve on behalf of our varied portfolio of clients. We deliver bespoke services to public, private and third sector clients in the UK and Ireland, supranational institutions, and international organisations. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported by a network of experts in delivering services to our clients on some of the most pressing issues of the day.  The successful candidates will have an excellent working knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and ideally have experience working with other privacy laws and frameworks. Good problem-solving... skills are essential to support tailored data protection improvement and project management for clients. If you are looking for a new challenge and you meet the essential criteria below, we would love to hear from you.  Key responsibilities Executing data protection support work and data protection compliance efforts required by clients including:  Providing outsourced DPO and DPO Assist services to clients, including tasks such as developing consent and privacy notices, managing SARs and guiding clients through personal data breaches  Fulfilling data protection compliance requirements including data protection impact assessments, compliance audits, gap analyses, data mapping services to aid in addressing risk management issues and complying with data protection requirements  Independent project management of client workloads and ensuring project deliverables are of a high quality and on time  Writing briefs for clients on relevant topic areas, including newsletter pieces and other outreach material  Attending and presenting at client meetings  Business development tasks, including developing proposals and bids for new projects Skills And Experience Essential  LLM or other relevant postgraduate qualification and/or CIPP/E or other data protection or information security compliance certifications   3+ years professional experience in a data protection specific role  Thorough working knowledge of UK and/or EU data protection legislation  Ability to analyse legislative requirements and translate these into organisational practices and solutions   Project management skills, with a proven track record of leading projects to successful completion  Stakeholder management skills and experience  Excellent writing and communication skills  Strong attention to detail Desirable  Experience of business development and proposal/tender writing  Strong client management and customer service skills  A working knowledge of cybersecurity  Experience of other privacy frameworks outside of GDPR  Knowledge of national data protection legislation for the US or other EU countries  Experience of writing newsletters and outreach materials  Experience of working in large/complex organisations  Experience of working in a consulting environment or capacity  What else do I need to know?  Location: This position is open to candidates based in the Republic of Ireland OR the United Kingdom (remote working available with occasional site visits) Contract type: Permanent employment contract Start date: ASAP Salary: Commensurate with experience Hours: Full time  Our compensation package includes: competitive salary, enhanced holiday entitlement increasing with service, company sick pay and family friendly pay, flexible working hours, remote working/working from home options, enhanced pension scheme based on service and continuous career development Please note that the closing date for applications is the 8th of November at 12pm GMT.
