Position: Data Entry 1 (Remote)
Location: Remote - USA; Anytime Zone
Anticipated Start date : 07/14
Duration: 6 Months contract with an extension
Shift Times: Flexible schedule; preferred availability between 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
Pay Rate : $21.00/hr on W2
Need: Experience with medical claims or healthcare systems (e.g., Amisys), Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Interview Process: 1 - Phone Screening, 2 - Virtual Interview.

Position Summary
The Data Entry Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely documentation of final payment determination data as part of the No Surprises Act (NSA) IDR Claims Operations team. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in entering and verifying data from source documents into designated systems.
This role supports critical compliance efforts and contributes directly to the team’s ability to meet performance metrics and regulatory requirements. Success in this role involves working independently while remaining an engaged member of a positive, collaborative team environment grounded in core values of Accountability, Courage, Curiosity, Trust, and Service.
- Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret source documents such as payment determinations, settlement agreements, and other legal/claims-related documents.
- Accurately enter data into shared Excel spreadsheets and/or other systems based on final payment determination documents.
- Verify, compile, sort, and ensure the accuracy of data prior to entry.
- Identify, correct, or escalate data entry errors to management when necessary.
- Re-enter data in verification format or compare with original documents to ensure quality control.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities and completed work.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless processing of claims in accordance with IDR awards.
- Adhere to internal procedures and compliance standards related to data handling and confidentiality.
- Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in data entry or administrative support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and focus
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Completion of a speed and accuracy data entry test (may be required)
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with medical claims or healthcare systems (e.g., Amisys)
- Familiarity with the No Surprises Act (NSA) and Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) processes
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

- No prior experience with Microsoft Outlook or Excel

Our team is responsible for reviewing, processing, and adjusting claims in accordance with Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) awards and settlement agreements. We work closely together to ensure timely and accurate resolution of high-priority cases, contributing directly to the organization’s compliance with federal regulations.

- Typical Day in the Role
- Start your day by checking Outlook for incoming emails containing final payment determination documents.
- Review and extract key data points from documents.
- Enter data into a centralized Excel spreadsheet with precision and speed.
- Cross-check entered data against source documents to ensure accuracy.
- Log completed entries and communicate updates to the team as needed.
- Engage with teammates for collaboration, clarification, or escalation when necessary.
