What starts here really does change the world.For more information about the McCombs School of Business please visit .PurposeThe Senior Manager for Career Insights and Analytics, housed within the Career Management and Corporate Relations team at McCombs School of Business, oversees the strategic use of data to improve career education, coaching, and employer engagement. This role manages data analytics to support decision-making, enhance career outcomes, and strengthen employer partnerships.Additionally, the Senior Manager leads the administration and optimization of the RecruitMcCombs platform, ensuring system performance, data integrity, and user support across all teams.ResponsibilitiesData Oversight and Leadership


  • As the business owner and system administrator for the Recruit McCombs platform, a 12Twenty software, partner with leadership to establish data-driven goals and strategies that align with the Career Management and Corporate Relations team objectives

  • Lead and manage the Data Analytics and Strategy team, which includes supervision of analysts focused on analyzing career outcomes and engagement metrics tied to undergraduate and graduate programs as well as ensuring the optimal performance of RecruitMcCombs.

  • Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of RecruitMcCombs, managing system upgrades, troubleshooting, and improvements based on feedback as well as ensuring RecruitMcCombs meets the School’s business needs, priorities, and/or reporting requirements changes related to career management and outcomes. Partner with McCombs Technology Solutions and 12Twenty as needed to ensure system effectiveness and implementation of system enhancements.

Data Collection, Analysis and Reporting

  • Manage the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data related to career education, coaching, and employer engagements through RecruitMcCombs, ensuring data integrity and quality.

  • Present data findings using advanced visualization software and techniques to enhance understanding and support strategic decision-making.

  • Lead the production of comprehensive internal and external reports for various stakeholders including senior leadership, employers, students, and faculty.

User Support and Training

  • Develop and conduct training sessions to elevate staff proficiency in using data, analytics tools, and technology, including RM.

  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to users, helping resolve any issues with the data systems and optimizing use of RM.

  • Advise on procedure changes and platform functionality within RecruitMcCombs to support achieving CMCR’s outcome goals.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging data analysis technologies.

Predictive Modeling and Statistical Analysis

  • Develop predictive models and statistical analyses to forecast trends and measure the impact of career offerings.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of career initiatives and RecruitMcCombs functionality.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related field.

  • Demonstrated experience supervising professional and/or student staff.

  • At least 5 years of experience in assessment and/or data analytics w/ demonstrated strong proficiency in data analysis tools and systems, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

  • 3 years of project management experience w/ proven track record in managing complex analytics projects and leading operational changes.

  • Ability to communicate complex data insights and solutions to non-technical stakeholders clearly and compellingly.

  • An entrepreneurial orientation and proven track record of taking the initiative and making things happen (i.e., self-starter).

  • Demonstrated experience and skill in establishing strong relationships, forging collaborative partnerships, building consensus, and effectively managing change.

  • Strong attention to detail/accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast- paced and collaborative environment.

  • Proven ability to analyze and produce clear, succinct reports on assessment and data analytics.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education.

  • Familiarity with career service management systems including 12Twenty.

  • More than 5 years of experience in assessment and/or data analytics

  • Knowledge of accreditation standards related to career services and student outcomes data.

  • Deep knowledge of undergraduate and graduate level careers (specifically within Finance Services, Consulting, Technology, CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), Retail, Manufacturing, and Transportation).

Salary Range

  • $80,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

  • May work under standard office conditions with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.

  • Regular weekday hours required. Monday - Friday work hours will flex accordingly and may require evening or weekend availability.
