Assistant/Associate Professor of English
The General Studies Division in South Florida Bible College & Theological Seminary’s (SFBC&TS) College of Arts & Sciences is seeking a qualified candidate to join our faculty as an Assistant/Associate Professor of English. The teaching focus will be on creative writing and composition courses. This position will be located at SFBC&TS’s Deerfield Beach, FL campus and will start in August of 2025. The applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S.
South Florida Bible College & Theological Seminary is an institution of higher learning where the Bible is central in preparing men and women for ministry to serve Christ and His Church through Biblical thought and Christian life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Teach undergraduate courses (Reading and Writing Essentials, Beginning College Writing, Composition I and II, Literature). The successful candidate will be expected to teach a combination of online and on-campus courses and to develop, review, and update curriculum. Faculty at SFBC&TS are expected to attend all required meetings and advise a select number of students.
Preferred Qualifications:Earned Ph.D. in English with an emphasis in Composition and Rhetoric, plus experience teaching Composition.
Essential Qualifications:Earned MA in English, Literature, or Composition and Rhetoric, or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in English, Communications, Creative Writing, Journalism, Linguistics, Rhetoric, or Composition.
