The Senior Health Benefits Analyst will work directly with and assist client employees, retirees, and dependents. They will also be the heavily involved in ensuring the accuracy of benefits plan documentation as well as other general operational work.Responsibilities
- Assisting with benefits claims, escalations and inquiries (act as liaison between member and health carriers. provide benefits overviews for certain new hires and upcoming retirees, answer benefits questions)
- Coordinating with Employee Relations, Business Partners, Critical Health Solutions, Recruiting to support ad-hoc employee cases or gather information for inquiries.
- Supporting requests like Benefits appeals, death in-service, and internal subpoena.
- Coordinating annual review for HCM Policies (~20 policies) with Benefits team and legal & submit change requests. Monthly employee transfer and benefits-eligible intern process support (e.g. sign off on report, update benefits codes, communications/calls with employees
- Completing employee benefit verification forms (e.g., Medicare forms, life insurance forms / retiree death claims, LTD employer conversion forms, etc.)
- Documenting benefits Annual Enrollment (BAE) /communications (review of communications and distribution lists).
- Coordinating with legal and health carriers on external legal requests (e.g., lawyers requesting plan documentation for denied medical claims)
- Completing benefits surveys (e.g., Working Mothers Survey, Seramount, National Business Group on Health, DOL/BLS Benefit Cost)
- Supporting the overall Benefits Administration team (e.g., coordinating webinars, supporting expos, enrollment testing, communications calendar).Health and Insurance vendor support, and legal filings support.
- 3 years’ experience in health plan benefits administration* and Bachelor’s
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Able to demonstrate written and verbal communication skills
- Able to learn continually in a changing environment
- Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Able to efficiently organize work activities to meet deadlines.
- Able to work full-time on-site in Salt Lake City, Utah
