Game Tester

<p><strong>QA Lead &amp; Tester – Sports Gaming (VR)</strong></p><p>We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced QA Lead &amp; Tester to join our game development team focused on building immersive sports gaming experiences in virtual reality. This role requires strong hands-on testing skills, leadership ability, and a solid understanding of both game development and football.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with developers, designers, and product leads to define and execute QA strategies.</li><li>Lead and perform hands-on QA testing for VR games with a focus on functionality, usability, performance, and device compatibility.</li><li>Manage the JIRA ticketing system—triaging bugs, tracking metrics, and reporting test progress.</li><li>Coordinate testing schedules, coverage, and communication between QA, business, and development teams.</li><li>Deliver detailed bug reports, test plans, and risk assessments.</li><li>Work with a confidential pre-release device that must remain within the U.S., adhering to strict security and confidentiality guidelines.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>U.S.-based, preferably near Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Chicago, New York, or Los Angeles.</li><li>2–5+ years of QA experience in game development, with a preference for VR or console titles.</li><li>Proficient in JIRA and bug tracking methodologies.</li><li>Solid understanding of game development pipelines, QA best practices, and Agile workflows.</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and meet deadlines.</li></ul><p><strong>Bonus Points:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience playing or coaching football at any level (high school, college, or professional).</li><li>Strong passion for the NFL and familiarity with football rules, gameplay, and strategy.</li><li>Previous QA experience on VR games, especially with motion tracking, physics systems, or VR UX.</li><li>Experience testing sports titles or simulation-based games.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Notes:</strong></p><p>This is a hands-on role requiring both leadership and execution. You’ll be responsible for testing, documentation, and cross-functional coordination, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
