This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who ensures timely, accurate payroll execution while supporting benefits management and compliance. You’ll work cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Operations to improve employee experience and maintain process integrity. Ideal candidates are proactive, highly organized, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a focus on continuous improvement and employee support.Accountabilities:
- Process global payroll for employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Oversee benefits administration including enrollments, terminations, and legal compliance (ACA, COBRA, ERISA)
- Act as a primary point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries
- Partner with Finance on payroll funding, tax reporting, and wage law compliance
- Perform regular payroll audits and manage tax registrations
- Maintain accurate HRIS records and support onboarding/offboarding processes
- Monitor legislative updates and ensure compliance across jurisdictions
- Track FMLA, disability, and other leave policies
- Maintain and update employee handbooks and company-wide policies
- Support HR projects to enhance employee experience and process efficiency
- 3–5+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, preferably in a high-growth environment
- Proven knowledge of multi-state and international payroll processes
- Familiarity with labor laws, payroll compliance, and tax regulations
- Experience working with modern HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Rippling or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- High level of discretion when handling sensitive information
- Competitive salary between $55,000 – $65,000 USD
