The physician is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare to patients, including the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illnesses and injuries. They collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and maintain accurate medical records. Care will primarily be provided in clinics. The physician is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare to patients, including the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illnesses and injuries. They collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and maintain accurate medical records. Care will primarily be provided in clinics. Clinics are responsible for a variety of on-site primary, urgent, and initial emergency care services.Key Responsibilities:
- Provides primary care but not limited to GYN, dermatology, ENT, pulmonary, neurological, cardiovascular, ophthalmology, orthopedics, psychology, and gastroenterology.
 - Collaborate with on-site physicians, APPs, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
 - Participate in the assessment and stabilization of patients requiring urgent or emergent care.
 - Lead and oversee medical staff at a DOS/DOS clinic: Clinic services include, but are not limited to: health promotion and disease prevention, health maintenance counselling and patient education, diagnosis and directed physical exams, emergent and annual vaccinations, comprehensive STD testing
 - Manage simple chronic conditions through intermittent monitoring.
 - Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
 - Maintain compliance with all project site procedures, standards, and continuing educational and mandatory training requirements.
 - Limited chronic care which shall be limited to preexisting, diagnosed, and treated chronic conditions.
 - Coordinate with medical evacuation teams for patients requiring care beyond the capabilities of the clinic.
 - Participate in MASCAL exercises.
 
- Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine/Family Medicine/Internal Medicine
 - Full unrestricted U.S. Licensure required in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
 - Current Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Live Support (ACLS) are required.
 - Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.
 - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
 - Minimum 5 years’ recent experience including 6 months within the last year.
 - Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
 
- Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements
 - Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
 - May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
 
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
 - Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
 - Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
 - Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
 - Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.
