Each year we welcome thousands of students on to our award winning and quality accredited programmes across the globe.Role SummaryOur Activity Leaders work as part of a wider residential team and are at the forefront of supporting and delivering the non academic elements of our programme successfully. Our activity leaders also help to carry out important pastoral care duties and take on the role of guardian to a small group of students, looking after their well-being, guiding and mentoring them during their stay with us.Our activity leaders provide instruction, guidance and coaching to the students, whilst ensuring all activities are delivered to provide a safe, secure, and tolerant environment in a proactive and engaged manner.Activity leaders work 6 days out of 7 across a number of sessions that total 42 hours per week. This is a residential role and we provide full board accommodation as part of the contract.Key Responsibilities:Promote and safeguard the welfare of students for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact and in line with your guardian and safeguarding trainingLead, supervise, motivate & engage students on activities and trips and during their stay with usEnsure adequate preparation & set up for on/offsite activities and prepare, plan & lead students on excursionsEnsure the activities and excursions operates to the highest standards of relevant health & safety and safeguarding practicesAssist our Senior Tutor and other Tutors where required on subject matter excursionsMaximise student satisfaction by ensuring their Global Achievers Academy experience exceeds their expectationsAssist in day-to-day general duties as instructed by the management teamCarry out residential supervision duties, including meal and bedtime supervision as requested and as per the rotaEssential criteria:Minimum age 18+ and educated to minimum A-Level / High School Diploma or equivalentAbility to deliver engaging, creative and impactful activitiesFluency in EnglishExcellent organisational skillsDesired criteria:Experience of working with young people age 13-17Experience of working in a residential environment, ideally in a summer school / campExperience of working with non-native speakers of EnglishValid First Aid CertificateSpecialism in sports coaching, drama, or dancePersonal AttributesA passion for inspiring young people to aspire to be moreExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organisational and planning skillsAbility to motivate and engage studentsAbility to work under pressureDemonstrates the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young peopleA creative individual, who enjoys critical thinking and problem solvingTraining & Induction:We provide both online and face to face training for all employees. We provide a compulsory staff induction and all employees are required to take our basic Level 1 safeguarding training. Our activity team will also be required to take the English UK Activity Leader Training course, which we provide free of charge.Working week:6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week)42 hours per weekRemuneration:Weekly pay: $836.00FULL BOARD RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION INCLUDED FREE OF CHARGEOrganisational Compliance:The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters.Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.Equality and Diversity:
