As a Platform Security Operations Engineer, you’ll support incident response and threat hunting teams by building, maintaining, and optimizing the infrastructure and tooling needed for effective threat detection, investigation, and response. You’ll automate security workflows and ensure the reliability of security platforms while improving detection and response capabilities.Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do:Security Platform EngineeringImplement automated threat intelligence platforms and integrationsDesign and maintain threat hunting infrastructure and toolsAutomate incident response workflows and playbooksDetection Engineering Support:Develop and maintain infrastructure for detection engineering workflowsCreate automated testing environments for detection rulesBuild CI/CD pipelines for detection deploymentImplement automated validation of detection qualitySupport threat hunting infrastructure needsIncident Response Infrastructure:Maintain emergency response platforms and toolsImplement automated containment and response capabilitiesAutomation & Integration:Automate routine security operations tasksDevelop custom integration between security toolsCreate self-service security tooling for IR teamsBuild automated reporting and metrics collectionWhat You’ll Need:Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a computer-related field8+ years of DevOps/Platform Engineering experienceUS Citizenship required due to direct work on GovCloudTechnical Expertise:Python/Go programmingMITRE ATT&CK FrameworkIncident response processThreat hunting methodologiesSecurity data analysisCloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Log aggregation and processingSIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK)Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)Git and CI/CD pipelinesContainerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Analytical & Communication Skills:Excellent investigative, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to maintain strict confidentiality and operate independently in high-pressure situationsBonus PointsScripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell)Familiarity with Splunk or other advanced SIEM platformsFamiliarity with agile project management and compliance frameworksTechnical security certifications or advanced academic credentialsSOAR platformsEDR platformsThreat intelligence platforms#LI-Remote
