Administrative Solutions (AS) provides management and oversight for key administrative and technical services that enables CDHS to achieve its goals. It is responsible for a number of support functions to make our agency as efficient, effective, and impactful as possible. Administrative Solutions comprises Human Resources; Facilities Management; Audit; Business Innovation, Technology and Security; Emergency Management; Legal; and Leadership & Organizational Development.Business Innovation, Technology, and Security (BITS) is responsible for managing the Department's information technology (IT) providers, including relations with the Governor's Office of Information Technology (OIT). The division serves as the main point of contact for departmental issues involving technology resources and needs and coordinates activities with CDHS' program staff for IT support, operations, maintenance, modernization and implementation of new IT systems.Hybrid Position2 Days in Office, 3 Days RemoteNote: Subject to change at any timeOffice Address:1575 Sherman St.Denver, CO 80203The purpose of this position is to create and complete payment documents to pay vendor invoices, and complete other associated monthly processes involving invoice payments in a timely manner, reconciling vendor statements and maintaining electronic files of complete requests and payments documents. Provide customer service, training, mentoring to division personnel associated with accounting transactions and business processes, and support and complete the fiscal year end closing, such as Roll/Lapse and accrual reporting. Assist the division personnel in the development of sound internal controls and /or accounting management and maintain the integrity of financial data. This position is responsible for preparing appropriate documents to support program management, setting up encumbrances to meet their operations needs, facilitating invoices' payments-including straight pay transactions-, Covendis payments, and receiving documents while ensuring compliance with IT authorized purchases.
- This position follows a hybrid work model, with a combination of remote work and in-office expectations based on business needs. In addition, occasional on-site attendance may be required for team meetings or training.
- This position actively participates in ongoing process improvement efforts with the FinOps team. The role may involve identifying inefficiencies, proposing solutions, and constitution of the development of internal Standard Operating Procedures related to payment and reconciliation.
- This position supports a high-volume, fast-paced workflow that requires processing and tracking a large number of financial transactions, often under tight deadlines. The role involves managing competing priorities such as invoice payments, encumbrances completion, CORE entities, vendor communications, and year-end close support.
- This position requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as it involves regular interaction with program staff, procurement personnel, vendors, and internal financial teams. Coordinating effectively with various stakeholders, and proactive addressing and resolving issues in a timely manner are essential to ensure transparency and alignment across financial operations

- Three (3) years of professional experience in Administrative Technical Support, Bookkeeping, and Accounting
OR Education and Experience:
- A combination of related education and/or professional experience in Administrative Technical Support, Bookkeeping, and Accounting equal to three (3) years
Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency in data analysis and manipulation using tools like Excel, MS Word, 10-key calculator, keyboard skills, or other data management software.Experience processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate and complete records.Strong analytical skills to review, interpret, and analyze financial data for accuracy, trends, and discrepancies, ensuring the integrity of financial information.Proven track record in resolving complex accounting issues and discrepancies efficiently and accurately.Strong interpersonal skills to effectively train and mentor division personnel on accounting procedures and systems. The ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner.Experience with GAAP and State of Colorado accounting procedures.Experience with CORE.Ability to prioritize work and work independently as needed.Strong organizational skills.Strong sense of professionalism including work ethic and adaptability.Honesty and integrity.Ability to adapt behavior and work methods in response to new changing conditions, new information, or unexpected challengesAbility to develop cooperative and constructive working relationships with others, and maintain them over time.Capacity to manage conflicts and disagreements in a constructive and positive manner to minimize negative personal impact.Capacity to perform calmly in a challenging environment with multiple demands on time.
