And you can maximize your work-life balance and flexibility through our .Job DescriptionAbout the role:Support the Brambles Technology Services teams and their cross-functional support teams (Digital, Supply Chain, Procurement and Finance) on the management of day-to-day legal issues and the implementation of the Information & Technology (I&T) operating model across Brambles.Key Responsibilities may include:
- Provide commercial and pragmatic legal counsel across a broad range of TS matters and legal support for the implementation of the Information & Technology (I&T) operating model across the organisation.
- Advise on, draft, negotiate and finalise transactions for TS, setting appropriate priorities and managing legal risk and compliance issues.
- Research - utilising external counsel as warranted - emerging legal issues impacting Technology Services to develop pragmatic business guidance.
- Provide legal counsel on issues arising from actual or anticipated disputes.
- Assist with training on compliance matters in collaboration with the Global Compliance team.
- Support complex initiatives, while balancing competing priorities and managing risks and legal and regulatory compliance.
- Work across time zones and cultures.
- Build relationships with business teams across functions and regions and manage numerous stakeholders.
- Handle a multitude of tasks and heavy workload without sacrificing service.
- Ability to independently develop creative solutions to business problems.
- Working autonomously and independently but contributing effectively to the Brambles legal team, including contributing to the global legal team strategy and process improvement projects.
- J.D. qualified to practice law
- 5+ years' post qualification experience, preferably in both private practice and in-house
- Admission to any United States State Bar
- Experience in information technology law, intellectual property, data privacy, cybersecurity and regulatory and compliance schemes relating to information and communications technology products and services, customer/third party agreements and procurement agreements.
- Advising on, drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing complex information technology issues, with a customer-centric mindset and a focus on B2B engagement and delivery, including software licensing, outsourcing, technology services and disputes, intellectual property infringement, data security incidents and other cyber-related issues, liability and risk and dispute management.
- Familiarity with digital and consumer protection laws and/or the management of local and international disputes, litigations and arbitrations a plus.
- Local and international laws, including cross-border trading laws, as they apply to information and communications technology products and services.
