We are committed to hiring the best and brightest within our industry, and that's why we are seeking experienced professionals like you to help transform the industry and continue building Beck's respected reputation.Job Title: Senior VDC Specialist – Virtual Solutions Location: Hybrid (Remote/On-site as needed) Department: Virtual Solutions Reports To: Senior VDC ManagerPosition Overview: The Beck Group’s Virtual Solutions team is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior VDC Specialist to support a variety of design and construction projects. The ideal candidate is a Revit expert with a deep understanding of construction sequencing, modeling standards, and cross-disciplinary coordination. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities—from full scan-to-BIM execution and scope-gap modeling to content creation, clash analysis, and select coordination and R&D initiatives.Responsibilities:· Develop and maintain accurate, constructible Revit models based on laser scans and design documentation.· Create and manage Revit construction models, including plans, sections, elevations, and standards.· Perform existing conditions modeling and scope-gap resolution. As well as assist in identifying and developing SOPs for scope gap modeling.· Support design and trade coordination, identify potential constructability issues, and proactively recommend solutions.· Collaborate with project teams, designers, engineers, and trade partners to align models with construction intent.· Support BIM content development and template refinement across multiple project types.· Participate in the development of internal workflows, standards, and R&D efforts.· Assist in the scan-to-BIM process, including field scanning and model registration (training available if needed).· Cross train Revit skills within the VBG Team.Qualifications:· 10+ years of experience in Revit modeling, preferably in the AEC industry.· Strong understanding of construction sequencing, detailing, and document production.· Ability to clearly communicate modeling issues and coordinate effectively with internal and external teams.· Familiarity with reality capture workflows and point cloud data is a plus.· Comfortable supporting occasional on-site scanning or coordination needs.· Self-motivated, curious, and collaborative mindset.Soft Skills & Expectations:· Self-starter with strong personal drive and accountability.· Proactively follow up on tasks with relevant stakeholders.· If a deadline is at risk, communicate status early and clearly.· Be able to notify the manager of issues or concerns.· Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.· Willingness to grow into new responsibilities across Virtual Solution, coordination, Blue Services.· Eagerness to learn and absorb knowledge outside of one’s comfort zone.Additional Info:· Flexibility to support multiple project types and internal team needs (e.g., model audits, template updates).· Travel is not expected to be significant, but occasional site visits may be required based on project needs.· Hybrid or remote work setup is supported and encouraged, depending on the candidate’s location and availability.About The Beck Group: Beck is a firm where architecture and construction integrate under one roof.
