Job description: Alternate Locations: Work from Home; US All RegionsWork Arrangement:Remote : Work at home employeeRelocation assistance: is not available for this opportunity.Requisition #: 74571The Role at a GlanceAs a Business Transformation Consultant, you will be responsible for promoting business transformation within the Underwriting organization, with a specific focus on optimizing our sourcing partner relationship. You will provide subject matter expertise and direction to our sourcing partner on all aspects of their work as it relates to UW execution. You will act as a resource and provide knowledge of current day-to-day operations and articulate and develop future needs and expectations to maximize performance and outcomes.What you'll be doing
- Works closely with Leadership to implement strategies and tactical plans to support building and maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship and alliance with our sourcing partner
- Initiates and engages in dialogue with sourcing partner and internal resources to ensure alignment and successful engagement.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging underwriting developments/trends, assesses impact, and incorporates new trends and developments in current and future solutions with our vendor partner.
- Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on underwriting guidelines and processes.
- Effectively collaborates with internal partners to ensure effective training delivery, easy to follow reference materials and clear process documentation.
- Acts as primary point of contact for sourcing questions and issues, proactively addressing issues and promptly following up to research questions.
- Translates/relays questions and feedback to management and internal sales/UW teams; facilitates development of solutions & tools to meet business needs.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to assess, select and recommend appropriate solutions/approaches that will achieve business goals.
- Identifies/validates new opportunities for business transformation (sourcing and automation) and recommends changes to ensure continuous improvement and service excellence.
- Supports organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
- Identifies and supports the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department, and/or business unit.
- Reviews vendor performance and trends, makes recommendations, and takes action to address any issues.
- Participates in project meetings with stakeholders from multiple groups to map current and future state processes, define project scope, determine complex project plans, execute agreed deliverables, and evaluate outcomes.
- Consults and collaborates with key internal stakeholders to elicit business issues, determine root cause(s), and capture complex current/future business needs.
- Provides consultation and recommendations for process/solution planning and future state design.
- Manages expectations of various internal/external stakeholders and provides regular status updates.
- Delivers projects per agreed upon timeline, scope, benefits, and quality. Monitors and ensures delivery of the targeted CBA from the project.
- 3 – 5+ Years experience in insurance industry that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
- Knowledge of group insurance products and the UW function.
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
Expected salary: $69000 - 124600 per year
