The ideal candidate will understand industrial metrology concepts, and have a solid background in math and physics.Location - Remote/ Hybrid- Salt Lake City, UT - Novi, MI - North Kingstown, RI - Torino/Turin, Italy- Telford, UK,Job Responsibilities


  • Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain applications using C++, C# and .NET framework.

  • Collaboration:- Work closely with the other team members (product owner, tester) on both development and support tasks.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional geographically dispersed teams to define, design, and ship new features as well as to perform support activities.

  • Understand and apply the latest graphics technology to our graphics engine including GPU development.

  • Understand and maintain the interface to Hexagon's GDT library, integrating new functionality in line with the PC-DMIS roadmap.

  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices in software development.

  • Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, backward and forward compatibility.

  • Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit tests and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Testing and debugging online on coordinate measuring machines in lab is required.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed code and systems.

  • Troubleshoot: Diagnose and resolve technical issues and bugs

  • Work environment: Primarily home based, but ideally located within 1 hour travel from a Hexagon facility with access to hardware (stationary CMM).

QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or comparable experience.

Experience: Proven experience as a C++, C# .NET Developer.

WPF Expertise: Proven experience with WPF development, including MVVM pattern and creating intuitive user interfaces.

Frontend Skills: Experience with UI/UX design tools.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Team Player: Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Geometry & Math: Strong background in geometric computations and algorithms.Behavior:Work in a team to improve current product capabilities focused on CAD interfaces, Model Based Definition, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and inspection planning.

Focus on user experience and workflow of the application.

Respond to customer problems - may include visits to other Hexagon facilities or customer sites.

Agile/Scrum team development experience
