Job description: Alternate Locations: Radnor, PA (Pennsylvania); Greensboro, NC (North Carolina); Hartford, CT (Connecticut)Work Arrangement:Hybrid Preferred : Preferred employee will work 3 days a week in a Lincoln officeRelocation assistance: is not available for this opportunity.Requisition #: 74629The Role at a GlanceAre you looking to join an innovative, digital first marketing team focused on creating customized content and strategic delivery leveraging multiple mediums, within a test and learn culture?We are seeking an Assistant Vice President of Life Insurance Marketing to lead an agile pod of Content Managers and provide subject matter expertise on campaign strategy, product launch execution and positioning and messaging to help accelerate the preference and use of Lincoln’s insurance products through the delivery of omni-channel marketing. Working in an agile framework, this product marketing, business line lead will drive the strategic marketing roadmap, identifying the best ways to leverage solution-based programs, position sales concepts and content to drive key business objectives to help meet sales goals.What you'll be doing
- Demonstrating a deep understanding of Life portfolio/products and competitive landscape and serving as a subject matter expert to develop and implement complex marketing approaches that drive sales and expand our market share.
- Managing an agile pod with a clear and positive strategic direction to align business priorities with marketing in a collaborative and transparent environment.
- Demonstrating a deep understanding of current and emerging developments/market trends, assessing the impact, and collaborating with product, sales, and senior management to drive new marketing programs, content, and campaigns, driving current and future solutions for LFDs businesses.
- Partnering with content strategist to ensure content is accurate and relevant, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for our target audiences.
- Collaborates with creative partners to develop a broad range of resources to communicate product details and concepts.
- Initiating, directing, and coordinating the development, layout, and design of marketing—from inception to execution including, but not limited to, project and resource planning, change management, communications planning and managing changes to project scope.
- Executing marketing campaigns to support the business line sales goals and objectives.
- Developing, communicating, and ensuring that marketing plans are understood by transforming complex concepts into simple positioning and marketing stories.
- Championing and enhancing organizational initiatives by positively influencing change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
- Participating and influencing continuous business planning and prioritization efforts by identifying and recommending solutions to improve marketing programs and directing the implementations of process improvements.
- Partnering well with and motivating the pod while instilling Lincoln’s culture within the team and the department.
- Cultivating a positive environment and open culture for new and innovative ideas.
- 7 to 10+ Years of experience in marketing that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position; industry experience will also be considered
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- Confident, comfortable communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed, and logical discussions/presentations.
- Strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a fast-pace, time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
- Management experience in leading results-driven teams; Motivational change leader
- Ability to work with others in a team environment; Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
- Ability to identify and recommend process improvements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
- Financial industry experience a plus
- Project management experience a plus
- Product knowledge a plus
