Job description: Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob DescriptionThis position contributes to the team responsible for the Power Cycle Mechanical design of New Nuclear Power Plants. The Mechanical Engineer will perform activities within a team environment, working with a global team of partner organizations and suppliers to advance new plant detailed design and successfully deliver nuclear power plant projects.Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and conduct technical review of drawings and design documentation for heat exchangers.
- Assist in reviewing vendor supplier documentation associated with secondary steam cycle heat exchangers.
- Perform calculations for relief valve sizing, control valve sizing, hydraulic calculations for pump sizing and piping sizing.
- Manage project work schedules and priorities.
- Provide on-time, quality delivery of equipment packages and engineering documentation in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably a Master's or PhD.
- 10 years of experience in component design and fabrication of heat exchangers.
- Experience with procurement of heat exchangers for projects.
- Competency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering and fabrication, with a focus on heat exchanger and procurement-related activities.
- Proven problem-solving skills and strong leadership capabilities.
- Strong expertise in pressure vessel design and thermal systems.
