As an Audit Analyst, you’ll work directly with compliance leadership to research regulations, conduct internal and external audits, and support company-wide risk management initiatives. Your work will help uphold regulatory standards and contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This remote role is best suited to someone based in the EST or CST time zone with a strong understanding of healthcare compliance and privacy laws.Accountabilities:


  • Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and assist with external audits to identify process gaps and areas of improvement.

  • Research federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, and ensure internal practices align accordingly.

  • Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of compliance policies and training materials.

  • Track audit outcomes, document compliance trends, and communicate findings to relevant departments.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and other privacy-related regulations.

  • Draft compliance-related correspondence and support ad hoc business and legal tasks.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally and escalate any compliance issues that require higher-level decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of 3+ years of experience in compliance, auditing, or risk management within the healthcare industry.

  • Knowledge of multi-state healthcare regulations and strong understanding of HIPAA and HITECH.

  • Proven ability to conduct regulatory research and apply findings to business practices.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly.

  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Limited travel as needed by the business.
